The Inkey List really hit it out of the ballpark with this product. I’m very satisfied with the results. I’m 46 years of age, with no problem skin, Mediterranean olive skin and still no wrinkles. I have however noticed a loss of elasticity over the last few months which I was hoping this product would address. I wasn’t disappointed and would definitely re-purchase.

I’m using both the INKEY retinol serum and the niacinamide because together they have many benefits, especially improved skin tone and signs of aging.
Some brands do sell a solution of the two ingredients already mixed together. If you’re using these ingredients in separate products, apply niacinamide first and to then follow with retinol. Applying niacinamide first can help lessen the dryness that can be caused by retinols.
Contains 1% Retinol, 0.5% granactive retinoid and squalane which is a hydrator that can help prevent the ongoing loss of hydration that can impair suppleness.
I would say to keep an eye on the price as I paid £8.99 which I thought was reasonable.

Use only a pea size amount. Works well . Strong stuff. Can make you break out at first

use once an evening before bed. the only minor “complaint” is that if you stand the item on its cover, more product than I would use oozes out when I open the cover – easy fix is to just lay it on its side.

My sister recommended this brand and I simply love it. It clears my acne scars. No other facial cream has been working as fast at this one.

This is a great Inkey List product but it is way more expensive than it is on other sites. The only reason I bought it here was because I had an Amazon gift card that I wanted to use so for me it was free. But if you’re spending your money, buy it somewhere else.
The product itself is great. It’s a good intro into Retinol and its not extremely expensive so it is more easily accessible than other Retinols.

I purchased this product in the hopes of clearing my acne scars.
I do appreciate that this is gentle but because this is my first time using a retinoid I was surprised to see no ‘redness, flakiness, or irritation’ which I expected from a “1% RETINOL”(as stated on the packaging) serum.
After doing some research, I found out that it uses 1% retiSTAR, which is a mixture of retinol, tocopherol, sodium ascorbate, castor oil in caprylic triglycerides. The amount of pure retinol in this complex is 0.05%.
NOT 1%
However, I will still use this product along with the Bakuchiol moisturiser in the hopes of seeing some changes over the next few months (Or until the products run out).
Edit:
I am not sure if this is because of the Retinol Serum or the Bakuchiol Moisturiser, but when I wake up I no longer have really oily and greasy skin, and this lasts all day. I have also noticed that I do not have as much or even any acne appearing anymore. Therefore, I have increased my rating to 3 stars.
As a company believing in “break through beauty jargon to deliver a straightforward take on the skin care’s most-wanted ingredients” it really does trick the customer into believing in the company and that this is actually a 1% Retinol when it is not.
I will see what effects this will have on my acne scars in the long term and report back, hopefully with a better rating.

I love this product! I have tried so many skin products and this is already one of my all time favorites! I’ve only been using it for about a week and I’ve already noticed a difference! My pores are definitely tighter and the fine lines on my forehead and under my eyes seem to be slightly less noticeable. The product is more watery than I had expected so be careful when squeezing the tube and keep in mind that a very little amount goes a long way!

Somehow I am very comfortable with this product. I wanted to try Retinol but not pay too much for the experiment and not get too much irritation. This ticks both those boxes. I use it a couple of times a week and my skin has felt a bit more dry but nothing I can’t handle. It takes a long while to really see the benefits of Retinol. I’m on the sixth week. A little of this product goes a long way so my tube is still half full. Another plus point. I am fully satisfied that I am having the Retinol experience without too much fall out. May progress to prescription Retinol after some time or may just stick with this.

The Inkey List Retinol Face Serum is by far the best face serum I have ever used. I’ve tried them all, and this is the most effective serum available that reduces wrinkles/fine lines and clarifies the skin. I am so happy I tried it! The price is set just right, and I hope with popularity they do not raise the price as that would definitely cause me to reconsider purchasing.

Okay so this is by far the most gentle and effective retinol serum I have used. Not overly keen on the smell but it’s not unpleasant either, and I’m used to it now. Start off by cleansing your face and neck, apply your toner, and let it dry in. Then apply a pea sized amount of the retinol serum onto your clean hands. You can pop small dots onto the forehead, cheeks and chin and rub excess onto your neck avoiding your decolletage, or rub it into your washed hands and apply it. Avoid the eye area applying only to the orbital bone (so like the top of your cheekbones but not on the soft part under your eyes)
At the start, apply every third night (NEVER IN THE DAY!) for a while, then every second night, then every night. Be patient, your skin may break out or get a little dry. Remedy this by using a face mask suitable for your skin after your shower for maximum results. Make sure to use a broad spectrum SPF moisturizer (even in the winter guys, UVA rays don’t take a winter holiday haha) because the retinol causes sun sensitivity and avoiding moisturizer with SPF or a sunscreen can lead to redness and burning. Anyways hope this rambling review helps 🙂
