Dove is a reliable to go soap for me. It doesn’t do anything magical but it doesn’t aggravate my sensitive skin so I always buy it. I cannot use it on my face though, wayyyyyyyy to drying despite what other reviewers have said. Cerave is my ONLY face soap of choice. However, if you are looking for a body soap that isn’t too strong, dove is your choice.

I’m one of those people with sensitive skin, I need a good bar of soap or I’ll scratch at my ankles until… Let’s not get into that part, but Dove is one of those brands that my doctor said was “okay” and “would probably help”, with such a glowing recommendation from my surprisingly passive aggressive doctor how could I say no?
But let’s get serious here, it’s good soap. Like, really good soap. I can safely wash away the white face paint, after removing the red nose and rainbow wig, with a bar of this stuff, and my skin actually feels smooth and not itchy for the first time in years. I’m not clowning around, not anymore, I washed that stuff away, and it feels good.
If you read this review, you have wasted your time, valuable time that you could be using to shower, and I do recommend Dove soap, it’s actually pretty good, even if my review sounds like the ramblings of a mad woman trapped in a prison shower with nothing but terrible body wash that dried out her skin as she begs her captors for the sweet relief that only a beauty bar can provide.
Ignore my words, buy the product.

I abandoned Irish Springs and its ilk years ago. This stuff actually makes you feel clean and kills bacteria (as indicated by killing off body odor) without leaving that waxy scummy residue I previously associated with soap. I’m a guy, so I’m not predisposed to buy products with the word “beauty” in them or soaps that don’t promise the strength of drain cleaner, but this stuff is awesome.
