The consistency of this lotion wasn’t to thick. It soaked in immediately and didn’t have any fragrance smell to it. So I didn’t have to worry about it irritating my 2 and 4 year old’s skin. It really was a great lotion for all over the body after getting baths. Kept skin from becoming dry and noticed less itching and scratching from dry skin as Winter has arrived. Mustela Sensitive Soothing Body Lotion lives up to it’s name. My son has horribly dry arms (above the elbows) and also has sensitive skin. We have to be very careful about what products we use on him because they will likely make the issue worse. I started using this lotion and after just a few days I have already seen a difference. His arms are still a little dry when you look closely, but they aren’t nearly as scaly as they usually are. I used this lotion on my hands for a day to really test out the product and see what conclusions I could make. First, although its not a physical property of the lotion, I’m so happy it is paraben and phthalate free. I like that it is truly fragrance free. Sometimes “fragrance free” lotions still have a weird chemical smell, but Mustela has absolutely none. I usually prefer a thicker and creamier lotion so I wasn’t excited that this one was almost watery feeling. However, it absorbed very quickly and made my hands feel like silk. Thickness isn’t important as long as the result is the same. It also lasted after a hand washing so it’s creating that barrier to retain moisture. I’ve been using this produce for a few weeks now and I have to say I am very impressed. I am a life long sufferer of eczema and dry skin and now have a toddler with the same issues. I have used ALL kinds of products. My go to has been Eucerine up until now. After using this product I saw dramatic results on my toddler after ONE use. I received this body lotion a coupke weeks back and Im in love. My skin feels so much better and even more relieved with it. My skin cracks open and is so sensitive but this lotion didn’t bother or irritate my skin like most, the scent is light and not to strong which also helps my skin.
